Celebrating Laconiko new facilities Manassas, Virginia

In the days of Zoom remote meetings and detachment, too much conflicting information on the Internet, Laconiko chooses the sheer genius of simplicity, sharing, and socializing. The Pierrakos brothers, Dino and Diamantis believe in the basics – from the soil in their olive grove to personal care for their wholesale clients.

Diamantis Pierrakos Shares the Laconiko History and Vision

At Laconiko’s first Annual Customer Training Summit, they welcomed their wholesale customers to two days packed with expert presentations and culinary delights showcasing their vast array of high phenolic and flavoured olive oils, white and dark balsamic vinegars.

From Research to Recipes
Guests began each morning with Mama Magdelena Pierrakos’ homemade Baklava. Lunch was a feast served up by Emily. During the days, clients were treated to tastings, had ample opportunity to ask questions, meet other retailers, share stories and fill their own information coffers with all the knowledge their retail clients are looking for back home.

Gold Medals
What makes Laconiko stand out in the premium olive oil landscape is their unwavering commitment to family values and excellence. Unlike many corporate entities, the Pierrakos brothers have maintained the warmth of personal connection while achieving unmatched quality standards. Their ZOI Ultra Premium, made from Kalamon olives, has won Gold Medals at NYIOOC for two consecutive years – a first for an EVOO produced from the Kalamon olive in the world of gastronomy.

This remarkable achievement comes from meticulous attention to every step of the process: careful olive grove management, perfectly timed harvests, same-day milling, and painstakingly slow filtering to remove any impurities. The brothers understand that High Phenolic EVOO is more akin to a juice than a seed oil, requiring protection from its enemies: temperature, oxygen, light, and time.

Expert Speakers
The summit featured an impressive roster of speakers including Dr. Prokopios Magiatis, Dr. Eleni Melliou, Dr. Simon Poole MD, and chef, Emily Lycopolos among others. Even more moving was Athan’s personal testimonial about how High Phenolic EVOO has helped him manage metastatic prostate cancer for seven years.

Aristoleo Certified
As high phenolic olive oil increasingly enters the wellness market, Laconiko recognizes the responsibility that comes with it. Customers seeking these oils for health maintenance or management deserve exactly what they pay for – nothing less. This is why the Aristoleo Certified designation, which Laconiko has embraced, is so important for identifying EVOOs that adhere to strict practices established by the EU funded ARISTOIL Interreg MED study.

When the event concluded, clients departed with hugs and handshakes, returning to their shops reinvigorated and prepared to share their newfound knowledge. They left wrapped in the deep appreciation for the standard of integrity that forms the very foundation of the Laconiko brand – a family business that proves excellence and personal touch need not be mutually exclusive in today’s marketplace.
