Aristo App will be a smartphone application algorithm with repeat ability developed for both iOS and Android operating systems. The Aristo App will utilize the smartphone built in camera as a reader to quantify the results of the Aristoleo Test Kit. It must perform the colorimetric phenolic content analysis with accuracy and reproducible. The camera will detect the RGB value and analyze and correlate these RGB values to the combined concentration of oleocanthal and oleacein in olive oil expressed in mg per kg. Samples will be provided to use as controls from the Aristoleo Test Kit colorimetric method and the NMR method (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance). The algorithm must differentiate between the subtle hues of the color green and produce a measurement in mg per kg for the combined concentration of oleocanthal and oleacein.
The challenge is to create an algorithm that will work with the limitations of the smartphone camera mega pixel variability and lighting conditions in the area. In addition the liquid is in a tube this is another challenge for creating a reproducible result in a variety of conditions.
Successful candidates will be hired for 2 month intensive period. Successful candidates must demonstrate their programming skills in carrying out this task before hand. Speaking English is essential.
